Walking frame skis can be fitted to the back of some walking frames. The walking frame can then be pushed along a smooth surface such as a carpet rather than having to lift it before each step (when just tips are fitted). Skis provide more stability than castors but still enable the walking frame to be pushed along. Skis can be placed at the back of walking frames that have castors fitted at the front.
